WHY HEMP CLOTHING?
ADDITIONAL SKIN FEELING
On one hand, clothes from cannabis are breathable, on the other hand isolating. For those reasons, people, who wear our clothes, experience “additional skin feeling”. Wearing clothes provided by CannaWear has a positive impact on your mood and provides an interesting sensation!
Cannabis is used for producing ship ropes, as well as ship sails. It is the most durable fabric for clothes production, available on the market. Knitwear and textiles made of cannabis have a great abrasion resistance. When you buy our clothes, you can be sure that they will stay with you forever!
KEEP WARM IN THE WINTER, BUT COLD IN THE SUMMER
During hot days, the clothes will give a pleasant chill on your skin! Yet, during winter, the knitwear will keep your body warm. Cannabis maintains the natural temperature of your body every day.
ECOFRIENDLY AND NATURAL
Knitwear and textiles from cannabis are produced ONLY using natural methods. Cannabis DO NOT like pesticides and chemicals! They are able to grow on barren areas, they do not require much water and they produce a great amount of oxygen, making the air less polluted!
HOW DOES THE PRODUCTION PROCCESS LOOK LIKE?
Cannabis is an annual herbaceous plant. It is resistant to changing weather conditions, therefore it can be cultivated in almost every climate zone. Moreover, it grows well even in depleted soil and areas polluted by human activity.
A process of dividing a stem into fibers and a lignified part, so-called straw, which is done naturally by microorganisms. As a result, we obtain a fiber of the highest quality, which is clean and divisible.
A stage of a straw quality control, so that we can assess if the straw is suitable for further proccessing, or it requires a longer retting.
Here, the fiber and shives from the straw are seperated - fiber of the highest quality is required for the production of clothes, while shives can be used in many other industries - none of the parts of cannabis is meant to be wasted!
5. FIBER COMBING
Combing is where the fibers are aligned into continuous strands, whilst any lignified particles are removed. Such a process allows to clean the fiber, but also gives it a light-weight, delicacy and thermoregulatory abilities of the fabric.
6. SPINNING AND SPOOL WINDING
Spinning is a process of a tight twisting of many fibers into a single thread. This process adds strength and durability to the fabric. Then, the cannabis threads are wound on spools.
7. FABRIC PRODUCTION
At this stage, we produce knitted and woven fabrics from the threads. Knitwear is resilient and soft, while textiles belong to a group of stiffer fabrics.
8. CLOTHES SEWING
The last stage is, of course, the production of cannabis clothes. We produce our clothes with respect to the material itself and the environment. We see opportunities in every waste-product and we try to produce our products with respect to ZERO WASTE principles.
